Between 2002 and 2005 I worked as an artist in residence at The Royal Marsden
Hospital in Fulham, London. The project was funded by the Derek Butler Trust.
There will be an exhibition of the resulting work at The Menier Gallery from
December 5th to December 23rd 2005.

Using photography, interviews, film and music, my work at the hospital tried
to explore the lives of people with cancer and help destigmatise the illness.
In a search for meaning, I would meet with patients and together we would find
a narrative that said something of their experience.

The project also resulted in fourteen short musical portraits, produced in
collaboration with musician Olli Cunningham.

Website design and construction by J. Maizlish.

With thanks to the patients and staff of The Royal Marsden.
